The first version of LinkedIn or Interpol was assembled and served by hand, one page at a time. The second version is written as plain files and pre-rendered into a complete site by a small build script.

There is no framework to keep updated, the pages are ready before a request arrives, and the result can be served by any web server or even opened from a folder.

The scripts stay small and dependency free on purpose: a game should start fast, and a page should still work when a third party is slow or blocked.
