We removed Google Analytics and wrote the few lines we actually need. Events are batched in the browser and posted to our own endpoint, so the numbers stay in our database and no third party sees your visit.

A failed request is not lost: the queue is kept in the browser and flushed when the network comes back, when the tab is hidden, or when the page is closed.

The fingerprint used to group sessions is only computed after consent, and the site behaves exactly the same if you refuse.
